Demag DRS Wheel-rail System

DRS travelling wheel block system is a multi-purpose travelling wheel system for heavy duty handling applications.The DRS wheel block has different types, which are mostly divided according to the different wheel flanges.

Materials

DRS travel wheel blocks are made of high-strength materials such as ductile iron, Hydropur tires, polyurethane and nylon. The selection of these materials ensures the stability and durability of the wheel block under heavy loads and harsh working conditions.

DRS And DRS-M Wheel Block

DRS travelling wheel block can be divided into DRS and DRS-M two kinds, of which DRS-M is a new type of Demag wheel block, the models are DRS-M 112 to 200 (load capacity from 2.75 to 10t ). DRS wheel block is an older type of wheel block, the models DRS 250 to 500 (16-40t load capacity )

DRS Travel Wheel Types

The edge of Demag travelling wheel block can be divided into standard parts and non-standard parts. The wheel box of standard parts can be divided into 6 kinds.

A:  Guided on both sides by flanges for rail systems

B:  Wheels without any flanges, optionally fitted with lateral guide rollers, also with concave shape or contour to customer specifications

D: Wheels guided by a flange on one side for units running at floor level

E: Flangeless travel wheels with Hydropur tyres for high acceleration & quiet running characteristics.

C:  Larger diameter wheels without a flange for increased ground clearance

F: Flangeless, concave polyamide wheels for quiet operation that is kind to the runway
