• The surface of the wheel body is composed of two protective layers: a protective layer of sandblasting and a layer of dark red coating. We also offer other color options. All coupling interfaces are protected by plastic plugs (suitable for working environments from minus 40℃ to above 60℃). The overall size of the wheel block and the coupling interface can be used with standard parts from similar manufacturers.
• The integrated jacket of the wheel block, coupled with the mounting ports scattered on various surfaces, allows customers to achieve top connection, unilateral connection, or pin connection with only a small number of connecting parts.
• The shell of the wheel block is precisely divided into two parts and fixed by bolts (non-welded). Therefore, the worn wheel can be easily and quickly replaced separately after being worn, once again saving time and cost. The wheel block made of cast iron material EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG-40) is very durable. The natural loss brought by the outside world is very small, and the wheel can be used reliably and repeatedly.
• The DRS wheel is made of ductile iron EN-GJS-700-2 (GGG-70) material cast, with stable and safe operation. The self-lubricating effect of ductile iron effectively reduces friction during operation, while also reducing wear on both wheels and tracks. Wheels made of other materials are also available to meet special requirements, such as alloy steel to make the wheel surface harder, or polyurethane (Vulkollan®) or polyamide (P12G) coated rubber wheels for special environments.
• Demag traveling wheel with double flanges spheroidal bearings ensure that the wheel can achieve higher than average service life even in the maximum load, the most demanding operating environment (-30℃ to 90 ℃) . Special models can operate working conditions up to 200℃.
• The DRS travelling wheel block can be self-lubricating for life in the ordinary working environment. Re-lubrication can also be achieved in special (dust, heat, wet, etc.) environments using a built-in series of lubrication ports or a central lubrication system.
• The drive shaft transmits the torque to the travelling wheel through a cone-shaped conduction device with tension bolts. Compared to the splined shaft transducers used by other brands, the permanently mounted and axle fixed drive shaft makes the DRS wheel block durable and resistant to wear. This cone-shaped connection makes it easy to cope with moments of high torque and bending moments while distributing the load bearing pressure on the drive shaft. No additional suspension drive motor is required.
• According to DIN5480 standard, spline type drive shaft with 42CrMo4+QT material can be used with axle sleeve accessories and gear sets from various manufacturers. Wheel block with non-drive wheels are delivered with a complete set of large connectors. A central drive unit containing a coupling and connecting shaft is a way of driving two wheel blocks using a single gear mechanism.
